The Active Script List (ASL or MySl) is a feature that enables a pharmacy or other third party to access all of an individuals active prescriptions. If a pharmacy activates your ASL they will be able to see what prescriptions you have and dispense your medication even if you do not have the most recent prescription token available to you at a given time.
It's important to note that some prescribers/clinics, however, actively make sure your prescriptions are not added to the ASL so that you are stuck with them or their pharmacy.
The ASL is typically activated through the following steps:
- Patient provides medicare card details and DOB to a pharmacy or other third party
- Pharmacy requests permission to access ASL
- Patient receives a text asking to grant access to the pharmacy and regarding the duration of ASL activation
- Patient replies to the text granting pharmacy permission to access ASL
- Pharmacy has the ability to see patient's ASL
If you are interested in accessing your own ASL, the Scripts by honahlee platform will have an eScript wallet that will show you all of your active prescriptions by the end of 2024. Feel free to email scripts@honahlee.com.au with the subject: "eScript wallet access request" - to let us know that you'd like to have your eScript wallet activated as soon as possible.
